Esther Update

Via Best Week Ever:

The Jewish weekly magazine, The Forward, has decided to add the newly Jewy Madonna to it’s “Forward 50,” the paper’s annual survey of the 50 most powerful and influential Jewish Americans.

Traditionally, Jewish identity is passed on via one’s mother. If the mother is Jewish, the child is Jewish. However, now apparently wearing a red string bracelet and calling yourself “Esther” will work too.

So basically, I got Bar Mitzvah’d for nothing. Thanks Madonna.
